UK leads the US in the race for the world’s largest high availability Power Cloud

IBM Power Cloud race

The race has been on for a while with UK based IBM support specialist Blue Chip leading the way with the world’s largest IBM Power System cloud.

In 2013 after signing many new 3, 5 and 10 year contracts I was allowed to buy ten more IBM Power servers in December. However this year I’m already looking to add a whole load of new Power 8 servers and hopefully some more IBM Flash storage.

Also from June we expect to have the new G3 high availability cloud service available to companies running applications which sit upon AIX and IBM i operating systems. This will bring the benefits of RPOs of sub second, RTOs from 30 Minutes, and it’s all at around half the cost of traditional high availability because it’s using the Power of the cloud.
