Coming to America – Blue Chip’s IBM maintenance
It’s been more than 30 years that Blue Chip has been providing unrivalled service to our hardware maintenance customers, supporting IBM's full range of hardware products, from IBM x86 platforms through to IBM POWER, System z and related storage.
Our maintenance division has grown organically and consistently over this time, a result of delivering exceptional service at reasonable prices, meaning we now boast to support some of the largest and most critical IBM infrastructures in the UK; maintaining IBM enterprise platforms is without doubt where Blue Chip excel.
However, due to the nature of the organisations that use IBM enterprise hardware, a lot of Blue Chip's customers have a presence and infrastructure in other countries, several of which are based in North America. Having received the great Blue Chip service in the UK, these customers asked us to provide the same quality of service at their sites in the USA and Canada.
To make this happen for these customers, we set out to find a partner to work with. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, and we were right, it’s a tall order to find someone who could be trusted to have the same service ethos and similar culture to Blue Chip, where the customer is always king. A partner who ensures that they have all the right skills in the right technologies and the right number of spares in the right locations and all at the right time.
Blue Chip’s technical senior management made lots of visits to many third parties, some well-known globally. A lot of time was spent finding the right partner who matches our service values.
We are now pleased that we’ve secured a partner for North America, ensuring business will go from strength to strength over the coming months and years. We’re already working together to deliver hardware maintenance services to a large global pharmaceutical company, a Blue Chip UK customer of many years standing.
If you’re a Blue Chip customer or partner who has hardware in the USA/Canada, please do get in touch to discuss how you too can benefit from the best hardware maintenance money can buy.
