As our reputation is so strong, we constantly have a high demand from clients to maintain many legacy and newer 3PAR models, spanning both HP and HPE eras. To make sure we’re up to the task, we decided to send three senior technical engineers across the pond to the home of country music – Nashville – to undergo advanced training, run by our HPE specialist partner in North America.
The training was a success, covering these areas:
- Replacing nodes
- Diagnosing and resolving system errors
- Understanding how to replace parts
- Making use of the command interface for health checks
After consuming far too many hamburgers and Twinkies, our engineers returned to Britain equipped with international training, having evolved their own HPE knowledge and expertise to focus in on 3PAR. This development translates to our work, our services and our clients.
However, Blue Chip recognises that training is not enough to ensure we can offer the necessary support to our clients. That is why, to complement our newfound understanding of HPE 3PAR, we also invested in the systems themselves and, in turn, set up a test lab at our Bedford HQ’s central secure stocking site.
We are now the proud owners of new, shiny HPE 7000 and HPE 8000 systems. We’re also about to acquire HPE 3PAR StoreServ 20000 equipment – where we set up common, rare and critical issues in a safe environment, testing different scenarios to ensure that we can quickly diagnose and fix any issues with ease.
