Building on our skills for HP 3PAR maintenance
Training, investment and testing - three key components which has led to Blue Chip being able to offer HPE 3PAR storage maintenance and support for the past couple of years.
Through continued high volumes of requests for us to be able to maintain different and newer models of HPe 3PAR, we decided to send three senior technical engineers across the pond to America’s home of country music - Nashville - to undergo advanced training, run by our HP specialist partner for North America.
The comprehensive training covered many areas, such as...
- Replacing nodes
- Diagnosing and resolving system errors
- Understanding how to replace parts
- Making use of the command interface for health checks
The engineers not only returned with Stetsons, a love for country music and a tan from the Nashville weather, but have evolved their own HPE knowledge and expertise to focus in on 3PAR, so they in turn can provide expert advice, support and solutions to new and existing customers, but to also help educate the rest of the Blue Chip team.
Blue Chip recognise that to ensure we can offer the necessary support, training is not enough. Therefore, we made investments into the systems themselves and set up a test lab at our Bedford HQ’s central secure stocking site.
We now own a nice new shiny HPE 7000, HPE 8000 and soon to be 20,000 series 3PAR where we set up common, rare and critical issues in a safe environment, testing different scenarios to ensure we can quickly diagnose and fix issues with ease.
This is just another example of the steps we are taking to cater for as many different OEM storage and key infrastructure systems. The aim is to provide the most trusted bespoke service agreements available within hardware maintenance.
