Last year Blue Chip provided myself and 4 of my colleagues the time and resources to complete an NVQ. These are competency-based qualifications which are assessed within the workplace using observation of performance and evaluation of evidence/questioning.
My colleagues chose Business Administration, Team Leadership and IT. However, I opted for an NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service as this best suited my job role. It allowed me to have a better understanding of the responsibilities I have within my company and gave me the opportunity to develop new skills, as well as recognise the skills I already possess. An NVQ can take up to a year to complete although, we all managed to finish after approx 6 months.
On 7th February 2013 Bedford College came to our head office in Bedford to hold a presentation of our certificates.
