There’s no doubt that cloud services are the future of IT infrastructure. It’s been a dependable area of growth for MSPs over the past decade and it’s certainly true for Blue Chip. We’re a UK-based company which has seen strong demand for our IBM Power cloud, the largest of its kind in Europe.
A mover and a shaker
Some of the biggest drivers of cloud business are our expertise in migrations, with SAP technology being a significant interest. Across many industries, the pressure is on for businesses to embrace the SAP S/4HANA system before the 2027 deadline. Achieving this is no easy feat, but it’s Blue Chip’s reputation and outstanding expertise in SAP migration which has seen us awarded major projects.
For instance, we’re migrating SAP environments from Germany and South America into the UK for a supplier in the automotive industry. This project involves an x86-based SAP environment that needs to go live in this summer, the other SAP environment runs on IBM Power Systems.
A banking institution is being migrated from an on-premise solution to the Blue Chip Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud platform, due to go live by Easter weekend.
All of this is being delivered with the challenge posed by the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. A lot of careful planning has taken place over the past few weeks to ensure we can function as normally as possible during these uncertain times.
Where the customer is king
Our position is hugely galvanised by the staff who focus on the customer experience, going further than other Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in looking after each client on an individual basis. This has been a raison d’etre since our founding in 1987 and explains why we have over 700 customers around the world.
To label Blue Chip as a mere MSP is rather unfair. We own two data centres, in addition to a very wide and unparalleled range of IT services. It’s the founding of these data centres – one of which is at an enviable Tier IV by design status – that has led to Blue Chip Cloud being created.
The drive to offer more value to customers, to craft bespoke services that match their needs, goes beyond the tremendous uptime and 2 x N+1 redundancy.
With four regularly audited ISO certifications and SOC2 compliance, Blue Chip Cloud is recognised as highly secure, which is why we’re home to a significant amount of the UK’s banking and retail traffic. We also undergo over 400 highly technical and comprehensive IT audit tests to ensure we’re a PCI Level 1 Service Provider.
Blue Chip Cloud isn’t another siloed offering, it offers wide connectivity to public cloud services such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, IBM Cloud, Salesforce and many others, all at jaw-dropping speeds. This side of the service truly defines it as an outstanding hybrid cloud for ambitious modern businesses.
