Winnington Park RUFC Under 12's
Thanks to Blue Chip community spirit, we were able to provide a full set of shirts for our Under 12's team this season. It may just be coincidence that since starting to wear the shirts we went through the season unbeaten in the leagues and reached the Semi Finals or Final of every tournament we entered - but I like to think not!!
Buntingford Cougars FC Under 15's
Team manager Mick Nolan explained “Our previous sponsor had ceased trading which left us without a sponsor for the 2008-9 season. Many of the boys had outgrown their kit. We have 17 fast growing 14 – 15 year olds who had to start the new season in last year’s kit. We were particularly concerned about the lack of weather-proof jackets and over trousers to keep the lads dry and warm in the cold, wet weather.” The Directors of Blue Chip agreed to sponsor the Cougars U15’s and now the boys are very proud to be sporting their brand new Blue Chip kit including weather-proof jackets and trousers.
AFC Slip End
Managed by Wayne Lesley one of Blue Chip's Disaster Recovery team leaders, Slip End play in the tough Division 1 of the Luton District & South Beds League and this year managed to finish a respectable 5th in the League, AFC Slip End also managed to reach the Division 1 Cup Final, losing a tense match 1 - 0 to Farley Boys.
Barton Rovers Under 13's
Playing in the highly competitive Division 1 of the Chiltern Youth League, it was a difficult season for Barton, however, they managed to finish a decent 8th in the League and reach the Quarter Finals of both the Chiltern Youth League Cup and the Beds County Cup.
