Intel Server Disaster Recovery
Most think of fire or flood as disasters but a disaster can be any event that unexpectedly interrupts service or corrupts data on your critical business systems.
Blue Chip's Intel Disaster Recovery service guarantees that in the event of any disaster, whatever that disaster is, we will provide a replacement Intel server available for you to operate on from our data centre, alternatively we can deliver to any site within the UK.
Instead of traditional recovery methods Blue Chip provides a "Warm Start" level of service. Our Intel service provides cover across all major manufacturers of Intel servers, including IBM, Dell and HP.
Warm Start

service dramatically reduces the time to restore your servers and
also ensures the process is completed smoothly without
complications.
Blue Chip loads an agent on to the customer's system to enable us to take snap images of the critical servers. We will retain this image on our secure NAS (Network Attached Storage) at our recovery centre.
In the event of the customer having a major software or application failure but where the server is still available Blue Chip will attend site, transfer the image from our NAS back onto the customer's own server. Once the image is installed the incremental changes will need to be restored from the tape backups.
If the customer's hardware is unusable or the customer's site is unavailable the process will be the same, only using Blue Chip's Intel server/s.
Within 4 hours of reporting an emergency you'll be provided with all of the following;
- Replacement Server/s of the same or greater specification.
- Mobile Recovery - On the road and on its way to the customer's site.
- Data Centre Recovery - Intel Server data being restored ready for use at the Blue Chip Disaster Recovery Centre.
- Intel technicians will then restore the incremental backup data from the tape backups.
Blue Chip's service also includes;
- 1 annual visit for image collection.
- Recovery plan and documentation in accordance with ISO9002.
- Geographic isolation to enable multiple invocations.
