Technical
Communications Engineer
This is a new role within the Engineering Department and
requires an exceptional candidate to drive and control change
management on the Network services and security. The successful
applicant will be responsible for all technical documentation and
will have experience of supporting LAN based network services such
as VLAN configuration inter VLAN routing, Layer 3 routing via WAN
based services, internet VPN and MPLS VPN. In addition you will
provide on site expertise relating to all aspects of the company's
infrastructure.
You will be a highly motivated individual, both reliable and
focused. You will hold a current CCNP qualification and preferable
be able to demonstrate strong experience of Firewalls and Network
Security.

iSeries DR Technician
Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an iSeries DR
Technician to join our existing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible in assisting all DR
customers on an annual basis to plan and execute a test of their
disaster recovery plan, attend customer sites for pre test
meetings, work closely with the customer in the execution of their
DR test and assist in production of post test review reports,
assist with DR equipment as and when required either for tests or
full invocation and deal with the day to day operation and good
housekeeping of the Disaster Recovery Suite facilities.
You must have;
- Extensive knowledge of iSeries hardware, build and configuration.
- Extensive knowledge of iSeries backup and recovery software.
- Experience of iSeries tape drives, HMC console, LPAR configuration.
- Experience of OS400 upgrades and system migrations.
- Exposure to any iSeries high availability software would be advantageous.
- Networks, switches and some exposure to routers.
- Industry recognised accreditation/qualification for IBM would
be advantageous.

Technical Solutions Specialist
We are looking to recruit a Technical Solutions Specialist,
based at our Data Centre in Bedford, to work closely with our sales
team and clients in producing individual upgrade solutions.
The successful candidate will be familiar with the architecture,
design, configuration and implementation, and also have an
understanding of Lpar on the following platforms; IBM AS400,
iSeries i5, RS6000, pSeries p5.

Intel DR Engineer - POSITION FILLED
The Intel DR Engineer will be joining our
existing Disaster Recover Team which is pivotal to the successful
and efficient operation of our DR contracts and plans. You will be
involved with planning DR tests for customers and assist with
implementation of those tests. In this role you will work closely
with the customer and therefore strong customer facing skills are
essential.
The successful candidate will be MCP qualified, have experience of
R.A.ID configuration, LINUX and imaging programs as well as sound
knowledge of networks, switches and some exposure to routers. An
industry recognised accreditation for Microsoft, Cisco and IBM
would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the
right candidate.

AIX Systems Administrator - POSITION FILLED
The AIX Systems Administrator will join an expanding team of
specialists to provide AIX technical support within our Managed
Services department.
The AIX Systems Administrator will be responsible for providing
second and third level support for customer systems located both at
Blue Chip and remotely on customer sites. The role will also
provide resource to the Disaster Recovery team for Disaster
Recovery testing and invocation and also to support the field
engineers with AIX related issues.
The successful candidate must possess;

- Strong problem solving abilities

- Flexible approach to working
- Support experience
- Knowledge of ksh scripting, SAN, TSM, and HACMP knowledge.
