IBM AIX Operating System Upgrades
Many RS6000 & pSeries users have found AIX software version upgrades to be a stressful and complicated exercise. The Blue Chip Group takes the uncertainty away from our clients by providing a unique Test Upgrade prior to the final implementation on the live system.
We restore our client's RS6000/pSeries system backup onto one of our dedicated test systems in our data centres. This ensures that all the prerequisite updates have been considered before upgrading the operating system to the required maintenance level. Any problems that are discovered can be documented and will help us to perform a successful live upgrade.
Our client can then be given access to the system, to test their applications on the new AIX level, via a VPN link.
We have successfully upgraded many customers this way and have solved various potential problems that, had they not been encountered during the test, may have seriously disrupted their business.
Naturally we understand that our customers' systems may hold
