Blue Chip London to Paris Bike Ride, 2012
In aid of the Blue Chip company charity Keech Hospice (The Pasque Group), which is based in Luton and are a hospice for terminally ill children, a group of Blue Chip employees are planning a London to Paris Bike Ride for the summer of 2012.
The plan is to depart on Wednesday 18th July, and to spread the ride over 4 days, arriving under the Eiffel Tower on Saturday 21st July.
Our arrival in Paris coincides with the arrival of the final day of the Tour De France as it finishes it's 3 weeks' of racing by circuiting the landmarks of the city and exxhibiting the finishing sprint on the Champs Elysees.
The total mileage is approximately 260 miles, with the daily mileage at approx 65 miles, but this isn't a race, as working as a team our intention is to present a gratifying challenge, achievement and adventure.
We are currently in the planning stage, and are actively seeking Blue Chip participants and any volunteers to assist with logistics. Any volunteers welcome !
Once the main details are planned, we can then concentrate on getting some training under our belts!
