Blue Chip is leading the way in the IT sector by managing your carbon reduction via our innovative Eco Friendly Data Centre. Following the government’s environmental initiative, CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme, by April 2010, we target a 60% reduction in your carbon emissions to meet the new environmental legislation.

Our aim is to assist our partner's with their Environmental Policy by providing proposed solutions that are not only effective but also produce significant cost savings.

Blue Chip offers an additional opportunity to reduce carbon emissions by partnering with Marston Forest in a far reaching tree planting program that would further endorse our client’s commitment to carbon reduction.

The Forest of Marston Vale aim to transform 61 square miles between Bedford and Milton Keynes, repairing a landscape scarred by decades of clay extraction, brick-making and landfill.

We aim to support Marston Community Forest achieve their Vision of 30% tree coverage for the local community over the next 20 years. We believe this holistic approach will appeal to all companies.

Blue Chip’s Data Centre is the most revolutionary in Europe, with a predicted Power Usage Effectiveness of 1.1. Using the latest adiabatic cooling technology, with cold room air containment; plus calculating the exact amount of power to the ratio of equipment on site, having the full potential to 2 x 11kv HV grid power supply, Blue Chip are able to achieve an ideal score rate.    

For further enhancement, Blue Chip plan to build wind turbines, and solar panels to increase natural energy throughout the data centre.

Blue Chip’s policy is to offer its workforce incentives to car share or cycle to work to help reduce their carbon footprint.

Green Patrols comprising of different departmental representatives oversee the management of our Environmental Issues by ensuring that all products where possible are recycled.

All Suppliers are questioned as to their Environmental Issues to ensure that their procedures and practices are to the same high standard as our own.  Our environmental motto is REDUCE, REUSE, RE-CYCLE.

Blue Chip gained the internationally recognised environment accreditation ISO 14001 in 2006; all ROHS are compliant with European Standards.

Despite not falling into the WEEE Regulatory categories, Blue Chip remains compliant to the order with our IT disposal and follows the strict rules of conduct.
